The Trains performance is based on short stories by William Saroyan: Old Country Advice to the American Traveller, The Ping-Pong Players, The Genius, The Poor and Burning Arab, The Barber whose Uncle had his Head Bitten Off by a Circus Tiger, The Beatles (by A. Saroyan).
Directed by Narine Malyan, the performance was staged in 2008. That year N. Malyan won the "Artavazd" award as the best director of the year, Georgi Hovakimyan was awarded as the best supporting actor, and Kristina Hovakimyan as the best supporting actress of the year for "The Trains". The performance was also awarded the Tekeyan Cultural Association medal in the Theater nomination.
